Scholarship Essay Contests: 10 Sure-Fire Ways to Win in Essay Challenge

Scholarship Essay Contests: 10 Sure-Fire Ways to Win in Essay Challenge
by Linda Correli

Scholarship essay contests are much in demand these days. For some, they are the first step towards a lucrative career, for others - the only opportunity to find funds to finance their college education. And since there are a lot of students interested to get as much as $5000 for as little as 200 words, the competition gets tough and merciless.
Sure enough, the best competitors will be able to cut their way through the thickets of scholarship essay contests. If you would like to be one of them, stick to the following sure-fire ways to succeed in an essay challenge. They will help you write an award-winning scholarship essay that has no match.
1. Tune Yourself To The Challenge
As it was previously mentioned, scholarship essay contestsare full of competitive spirit and strong ambitions. Thus, they ask for brand-new innovations, unusual approaches and creative thinking. To keep up with the raising standards of essay contests, don't hide behind the previously gained knowledge and hackneyed forms. Challenge yourself to exceed your past standards. Experiment, alter, and bring in something new in your scholarship essay.
2. Clarify Essay Contests Rules and Stick To Them
The first step you should take when writing your scholarship essay is to get as much information on entry rules, paper requirements, and deadlines as possible. As a rule, the necessary information is posted on the company's web site, the side of the package, or on the entry form itself. Simply keep your eyes open.
First, find information on where to send your entry, what forms you must include, and the exact nature of the essay question. Clarify the requirement for the essay paper format and stick to them from the very beginning of essay writing.
Second, put down the deadlines in your calendar or day planner. It will help you keep track of the writing process. One more useful organisation pattern is to include deadlines for topic generation, thesis statement, drafting the outline, the first draft and so on. This way you will never be short of time and will never miss a deadline.
3. Brainstorm Your Ideas
It may sound a little bit strange, but in scholarship essay contests it is the quantity of your essay ideas that really matters, not their quality. Thus, have a one-hour brainstorming session to collect your ideas. Find the most compelling ideas and organise them around a strong and clear thesis statement. With numerous supporting arguments and evidence, your thesis statement will sound more convincing, researched, and well-grounded.
4. Do Your Own Research
It goes without saying, that award winning scholarship essaysmust have a solid background and the topic investigation behind. Thus, do a lot of readings, deep into the historical importance of your essay topic, think of the true-to- life examples and persuasive arguments. The more proactive you will be, the more chances you will have to succeed!
5. Organize Your Notes
Be sure to attribute quotations and sources meticulously. Otherwise, you will be accused of plagiarism, or excluded from the participants' list at the least. Surely, you don't want to suffer such a fate.
6. Make Your Introduction Inviting
The lively, compelling and inviting introduction is crucial for the winner's scholarship essay. The introduction must interest the readers and invite them to keep on reading, tantalize and encourage the next step. To achieve this primary goal, use emotions, ask an intriguing question, surprise with an unusual fact. Anything that is uncommon and interesting will do.
7. Present Your Own Experience
One of the alluring ways to interest the readers in your scholarship essay is to focus on how your personal experience has shaped your view on the essay topic. It is a proven way to add an informal and friendly flair to your writing.
8. Fit In the Word Limit
At times it may be difficult to keep within the set word limit. But when taking part in scholarship essay contests, you've got to learn to be eloquent in as little words as possible.
One way to fit in the word limit is to kill the unnecessary adjectives and adverbs. The use of descriptive verbs and nouns is more preferable in this case. But when it is impossible to do without adjectives, make sure they are impressing, strong, and have the greatest influence on readers. 9. Consider Grammar, Spelling and Typography
Surely, it is a run-off-the-mill and annoying piece of advice you've learnt by heart long ago and are tired of hearing for the hundredth time. But, still, don't forget to edit and proofread you essay meticulously. It'll be a pity, if you will not take the major prize for a foolish grammar or spelling mistake.
10. Don't Stop At One Entry
If scholarship essay contests you are going to participate in have no limits on the number of entries an individual may send, take advantage of this loophole and send several different entries. Of course, make sure that your essays will be different and will present various points of view.
Now, you are ready to conquer the world of scholarship essays. With these handy tips you are bound to improve your chances of winning all kinds of scholarship essay contests.

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays studies five paragraph essay writing

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays studies five paragraph essay writing by Andrew Sandon

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays goes on analyzing different types of essays. One of these types is certainly worth attention. It is the five paragraph essay. The five paragraph essay is a formal essay comprising exactly five paragraphs: an introduction, three paragraphs of body or explanation, and a conclusion. The five paragraph essay gives some to students by providing them with a set structure, which is especially helpful for timed essays, and that it assists students in developing topics in sufficient depth. The major disadvantages are revealed when the essays are restricted by the structure so strictly that they become bland or when the topic divisions feel forced or unnatural. Custom essay writing service ProfEssays will post a string of sample five paragraph essay created by its writers. All of them can help to understand the procedure of five paragraph essay and acquaint readers with writing techniques and approaches. As there is a set structure for five paragraph essays one is to begin with introduction. The introduction usually consists of a minimum of three sentences in length. The first two or more sentences will provide the context for your response. The last sentence of the essay called the thesis statement will define the three paragraph divisions of your essay. Then it is turn of the first body paragraph. The first body paragraph will unfold the first of the three divisions of your topic mentioned in your thesis statement. The paragraph will be made up of about 8-12 sentences in length, will begin with a topic sentence emphasizing the first division of your thesis statement, will give details explaining what is meant by that topic sentence, and will end with a concluding sentence that resumes the paragraph. Afterward it is time one should process to the second body paragraph. The second body paragraph will unfold the second of the three divisions of your topic specified in your thesis statement. This paragraph will also be made up of about 8-12 sentences in length, will begin with a topic sentence which forms a transition statement from the first paragraph and identifies the second division of your thesis statement, will give details clarifying what is meant by that topic sentence, and will end with a concluding sentence that resumes the paragraph. The third body paragraph should be written after the same pattern as the second body paragraph. The concluding paragraph will contain a few sentences that will summarize the main ideas of the essay expressed in the introduction in an impressive and meaningful fashion. Besides five paragraph essay the experts, writers and editors of custom essay writing service ProfEssays are competent in completing all sorts of custom essays term papers, academic papers, research papers, admission essays, compositions, course-works, book reports, case studies, thesis, dissertations, editing, resume services, creation of sites content and so on. Thesis Essay Writing Guidelines Every Student Ought to Know

Thesis Essay Writing Guidelines Every Student Ought to Know
by Linda Correli

Writing a thesis essay is one of the challenges that students face in their academic life. The main reason why so many students dread writing a thesis essay is its baffling complexity, which is hard to handle at times.
However, writing a thesis essay can be much easier, if you already know how it should be written. And the secret formula of writing a high quality thesis essay is incredibly simple: all you need is to understand the initial purpose of thesis essays and follow the tips for thesis essay structure that you'll find below.
1. Thesis Essay Peculiarity
Thesis essay is an essay elaborating on the original research and arguing a specific point of view. It requires an argumentative topic on which you have a strong opinion and want to prove it by means of research findings and information analysis. To put it in other way, thesis essay is a scientifically-minded piece of writing.
Consequently, a thesis essay is much more demanding than the rest of essays. It demands responsibility, analytical skills, ability to summarise, compare, and contrast. In order to write a high-quality thesis essay you need to be persuasive and able to prove your case no matter what.
2. Thesis Essay Topic
Thesis essay topic requires tender treatment. To choose the one that is your best bet, stick to the following:
1. the topic must be to your liking, that is you must have strong feelings on its account and hold a solid point of view as far as the solution of this problem goes; 2. your thesis essay topic must be argumentative, ambivalent and thought-provoking; 3. your thesis essay topic should not be widely researched and be on everybody's lips. On the contrary, it must be a problem that is not known to the public at large and still is concerns us very much.
Get down to choosing a thesis essay topic with these tips in mind, and you will find one truly argumentative and interesting.
3. Thesis Essay Structure
Thesis essay structure must be carefully thought over, since it is the foundation on which you build your proposition and prove your rightness. With a proper thesis essay structure you will create the necessary impression on the readers and make them reject their own views and stick to your point.
Your thesis essay structure should be like this:
1. the introduction must include a statement of your hypothesis, which is a summary of your controversy; 2. confirmation of your hypothesis must be logically arranged:
a. first, provide a short digression in the history of the problem corroborating it by the past attempts at its solution; b. analyze the problem at the present; c. prove your hypothesis by the supporting evidence you came across when researching the thesis essay topic; d. compare your hypothesis with other existing propositions and prove why yours is the best solution;
3. reinforce your thesis statement at the end of the essay by providing a persuasive summary of your thesis essay to make the readers come over to your side once and for all.
This is the proven way of organising thesis essays. So, do not hesitate to use this structure in your paper. 3. The Use of Supporting Evidence
As it has been previously mentioned, your hypothesis in a thesis essay needs a back up in the form of supporting evidence from reliable and relevant sources. The related sources you can use to strengthen your proposition can be: 1. past research and writings and their impact on the study; 2. facts, statistics, and the testimony of others through personal interviews and questionnaires; 3. or articles and books; 4. and examples.
You do not have to conduct a deep research for your thesis essay, as you do for a research paper. All you need is to explore your topic deep enough to have a sufficient amount of evidence and proofs. However, make sure that the information you plan to use is up-to-date and is taken from reliable sources. Otherwise, it will be easy to discredit your proposition.
4. Disprove the Opposing Arguments
Every hypothesis has a weak point, which, if wisely used by opponents, can destroy it all together. To avoid it, try to identify weak points of your proposition and the possible ways how they can be used by your opponents. Then find counterarguments that will rebut your antagonist's sharp rejoinders. Try to anticipate any objections the readers may have and rebut them at once.
That is all you need to know in order to write a good thesis essay. Be sure that with the above tips in mind you will easily master thesis essay writing and even come to like finding controversial topics and forming your hypothesis on its account. Thesis essay writing will no longer be a tedious burden for you.

Custom Essay Writing - Is It Worth It Or Not?

Custom Essay Writing - Is It Worth It Or Not?
by Anne Peters

Do you want to find out more about how custom essay writing services can improve your life?
Too many students are easily put off by the thought of paying for their papers to be written by essay writing experts. Why not benefit from a custom essay or a custom research paper and improve your grades?
Writing term papers and essays can be a nightmare if you struggle with it. If you are no good at it you can lose many hours writing a simple assignment and still only achieve a mediocre, or worse - failing grade. Academic performance is becoming more and more pressured. In order to get ahead you need good grades. This is where a custom essay writing service can help.
Whether you are in high school, a college or university student you can benefit from using a professional writing service. So many students do not know where to start. With so many different ways of getting essays and research papers it can be hard to decide.
There are three different ways to get essays, term papers or dissertations from the Internet and some are better than others:
1) You can use a free site: These free essays are often poorly written and have already been used by millions of students around the world. All you need to do is download an essay of your choice but most likely you will end up having to add in some of your own research to answer the topic for your own paper. Don't hand a paper in from a free site without thoroughly checking and rewording it! A free paper is no substitute for a custom essay.
2) You can buy a pre-written paper: but this means you will not be able to choose a specific custom essay topic. This is no good if you need a term paper on a very particular question. And often these sites do not measure up. Many have reported buying a pre-written paper and receiving a failing grade!
3) Or you can use a custom essay writing service, and be sure you will have a great paper ready on time. A professional will write the custom essay specifically according to your own unique topic and you can even go through the essay and refine it to sound like your own words!
When it comes to academic shortcuts there is nothing better than using a custom essay writing service to create a high-quality, non-plagiarized custom essay of "A" grade for you. Don't download that paper from a free site or pay for a pre-written one. Rather use a custom essay writing service to ensure you get the best grades possible.
For students who have decided on a custom written essay; it can become overwhelming to choose the right company. There are so many companies who offer the same services and the biggest difficulty can be finding the right company. There are so many respectable sites who offer professional and expert writers, but how do you know where to start?
At Exclusive-Essays.com, we hire only qualified professionals and experts to provide you with the reliable custom essay writing service. The service is 100% confidential! You can benefit from professional knowledge, and be sure of satisfaction and good grade all within deadline.
At the end of the day using a custom essay writing company is definitely worthwhile. A professional paper will be made specially for you.

How To Make Sure Your Essay Is Perfect

How To Make Sure Your Essay Is Perfect by Exforsys
When you write an essay, it is important to make sure your document uses good grammar. While this may sound like common sense, you would be surprised by the number of people that make this mistake. Even if your essay presents good ideas, it will be rejected by people who read it if you have a large number of punctuation and spelling errors. If you are a college student, this could also cause you to fail your class. When you write an essay, you want to give readers the impression that you are an intelligent person.
Failing to correct grammar issues before presenting your work will not give them this impression. If you are the type of person who hates writing, or you didn't pay attention in English class when you were younger, it may be necessary to have someone proofread your documents before you present them. Having a large number of mistakes in your essay doesn't mean that you are an unintelligent person. However, if you don't correct your mistakes, this is what your readers will think. If you don't know anyone who can proofread your document, most word processing programs come equipped with a spell checker and other tools which can help you correct your documents.
If you want to learn how to spell or write your essays with few errors, there are a number of online sources which can help you. It also may be possible to get help from you instructor, but if you're in college they may not assist you. Most college instructors assume that you should already have a decent understanding of the English language prior to taking their courses. However, this doesn't take into consideration students who were raised speaking a different language. While there are many grammar mistakes which can be made on your essay, there are a few which are very common among students.
One of these mistakes is running together two sentences and connecting them with commas. This is a mistake that you will not want to make on your college essay. If your instructor sees it, they will mark off points. Every sentence you write should end with a period. You should never use commas to link two sentences together. This is the primary grammar mistake which is made by many students. If you are taking a creative writing class, this may not be a problem. However, most essays must not be written like this.
After you've completed and reviewed your essay, you should now be ready to hand it in to your instructor. There is a bit of a debate about the best way to present your essay. It is not enough to just staple the papers together and give them to your instructor. They will generally need to be placed in some type of protective binder. While there are a number of different ways you can present your essay, it is best to keep it simple. The pages of your essay should not be clipped together, and you should avoid using staples as well. If you are in college, your instructor will have to go through a lot of papers, and they will not want to take the time to take the staples off.
You will want to make sure your document isn't bound in any way. You will need to use loose sheets, and ever page in the document should be numbered. If the papers fall apart, it will be difficult for your instructor to put them in order if you didn't take the time to number the pages. When you hand in your essay, you should want it to be perfect. The time you put into the presentation of your essay will be seen by your instructor, and will help you get a good grade. You will want to make sure everything is in order, and your pages should be clean and free of wrinkles.
Of all the different formats you will write in, the essay is arguably the most important. It is the favorite format of college instructors, and mastering it will make things a lot easier for you. Even after you graduate from college, you will find that you will need to write essays for different projects. Essay Writing Services: Straight Way to Troubles or Last-Minute Relief?

Essay Writing Services: Straight Way to Troubles or Last-Minute Relief?
by Linda Correli

One late afternoon you come back home after just another hang-out, anticipating a quick shower and a sound sleep. But your dreams are harshly wiped out by a dreadful recollection - you've got to write an essay for tomorrow! In a trice, a fabulous evening night is ruined by the hellish and tedious essay writing you've got to do overnight.
Unfortunately, you are in the same boat with thousands of students who cannot bore themselves with essay writing due to the hectic lifestyles they lead: trying to keep in touch with their friends, pursuing their hobbies, going into sports and starting their carriers. Essay writing turns into a dreading obligation you have to carry.
The desired aid comes in a form of essay writing services that help avoid the hassle of last-minute essay writing and get help writing essays. If you have never gone for essay writing services and have a very little knowledge of the way they run, I can give you my hands-on experience of finding a service that would best match your needs.
1. "Essay Plants" Service
The cheapest and easiest way to fix your problem would be getting an essay from one of the sites labeled as "essay plants." These web-sites offer thousands of free essays on any topic you could imagine. You just browse the essay catalog, copy as many essays as you like and then make up your own. It is a handy way to get your essay done in no time at all. And it's all FREE!
But don't swallow a bite that easily. Getting a free pre-written essay from "essay plants" is the easiest way to get in trouble. First, there is no control over the quality of essays that are in the database of "essay plants". Second, essays taken from an "essay plant" are likely to fail the plagiarism test with Turnitin - a service that detects plagiarism by comparing the students' essay against online material and a database of previously submitted papers.
Thus, you can opt for "essay plants" only as the source of good ideas on how to organize your essay papers, choose the right drift, etc. However, they cannot provide you with reliable essay papers of a due quality. Moreover, "essay plants" will not save you troubles you wish to avoid.
2. "Paper Mills" Service
"Paper mills" are the essay writing services that offer thousands of downloadable pre-written essays on any topic from a program known as "essay exchange." It means that in order to download an essay for free, you have to submit your own essay. Still it is not the only way "paper mills" run. You can also find "paper mills" that do not require the upload instead of a download.
The pricing policy of "paper mills" varies distinctly: 1. some sites give the papers away for free; 2. some give essay papers away but require you to register; 3. some sites charge only a membership fee that allows subsequent access; 4. most charge by the page, ranging from $1-$10 per page; 5. if your paper is due tomorrow and mail is too slow, you can get immediate delivery by e-mail - for an extra $15; 6. some sites even run sales and summer blowout specials.
Seems like a nice option... but still it's a trap. Chances of getting a high-quality essay from "paper mills" are similarly low as in case of "essay plants," since "paper mills" don't tend to check the quality of incoming essays. Thus, you are likely to pay the service charge for nothing worth a penny.
Moreover, the essays you download from "paper mills" are likely to fail the plagiarism test as well. Since it is a common practice for students to exchange their own essays with others, Turnitin is able to detect the origin of your paper at ease.
3. Custom Writing Service

But don't be easily upset, since you can always turn for essay help to custom writing services, which promise you to deliver a plagiarism-free essay in a due time, of a due quality, and at a reasonable cost.

So, the major disadvantage of using custom writing services is that they won't give you an instant relief. Either you'll have to negotiate a deadline with your professor, or plan using this service in advance.

Writing Graduate Application Essays Made Easy

Writing Graduate Application Essays Made Easy
by Thomas Suh

Unlike college application essays, questions for graduate personal statements or admission essays, are more inclined to ask for career plans and research experiences. Since applicants are already past the undergraduate years, they are expected to have more concrete ideas regarding what they want or like to pursue in life. Some universities ask common questions that make the applicants elaborate on their academic interests or what specific area or discipline they would like to venture on. You might want to briefly discuss interesting reasons that made you decide to take up a particular field. Say something about how taking up a certain post-graduate course is an essential part in achieving your long-term career goals. When asked about research experiences, relate research topics you've enjoyed doing in the past. Remember that research is a big thing in graduate school so make sure you highlight your superb research skills, if ever. Similar to the college admission essay, candidates for a post-graduate also need to include academic background, achievements, and extra-curricular in their essays.
One of the several topics graduate school applicants can write about is their field and clinical experiences. Assuming candidates already have previous working experiences, they can say something about the practical values they gained in the process. It is best to relate job experiences in line with your career plans. Avoid mentioning on-the-job experiences which are not directly related with the field you are applying for. This may give evaluators an impression that you don't have a clear sense of your goals or whatever it is you want to achieve. Admissions officers want to make sure applicants are really serious in pursuing post-graduate course and are not merely out to dabble and leave after a few semesters. They want to admit applicants who may be potential additions to the university's roster of prominent and successful alumni. Convince them that you deserve a slot by producing an essay that requires little additional queries. Needless to say, the expectations and standards of admissions officers are higher for those aspiring for post-graduate degrees.
Writing graduate application essays, in essence, is also very much like crafting a college admission essay. You should also follow the basics of an effective personal statement like unity, coherence, and focus. A well-written essay reflects the fact you've allotted effort and time in weaving your essay in the same way sloppy essay can be a telltale sign that you've done it in haste. Start the statement with a strong point of entry that can surely grab the attention of your readers. Every sentence in a personal statement is significant but make sure your opening paragraphs are especially engaging. If you've successfully thought of a great introduction, sustain the momentum by polishing the rest of the contents of the essay. If you were able to craft a successful college application essay, there's no doubt you could also come up with a winning graduate admission essay.

Essay writing

Essay writing
by Sharon White

It goes without saying that essays are regularly used in our education system so we need to make sure that it is a reasonable system to all the students. We are going to be looking at what may make it fair or unfair. If the system is not fair, then it cannot be a reliable form of assessment. We will research topics such as the wide variety of teachers and institutions whose standards may differ from others. We will also research multiple intelligence and other methods that may be used to assess students.
To determine the knowledge, skills and understanding achieved by students, we use assessments. It is a judgment of achievements and progress in a certain topic or subject. Students need to be able to show that they can think critically and make and judgments. To achieve this, we use methods of written assessments such as reports, journals and essays.
An essay is used to determine the development of sustained arguments, supported by critical evaluation of appropriate evidence. Essays are one of the most common written assignments that students are required to submit. The aim of writing an essay is to inform, entertain and be able to convince the person reading it. It is the response to a question which needs a point of view and an argument that has been thoroughly researched. When an essay is being graded, the usual criteria is the research that has been put into it, the content, analysis, structure, literary qualities, originality and essay writing is not a natural skill. It has to be learnt and practiced before it is perfected. The skill can take a long time to acquire and most students don't have a lot of time to do the practice required.
The expectations of written work may vary from one teacher to another and one institute to another. Because of this, when students finally reach university or change teachers, they really have little idea as to what that certain teacher or institute expects from them. This may sound unfair to students, but it really depends on whether the teacher makes his/her expectations clear as possible. Teachers also need to teach their way of writing an essay so students understand and meet the standards that certain criteria. Unless the criteria is very clear, it may be very hard to understand and meet the standards which are required. The teacher will often prescribe a number of words as a guideline so that the students write essay to a substantial length. While this may be a useful guideline, it may imply to the student that as long as they reach the amount of words set, it will be a substantial answer. Some students, instead of properly researching a number of topics, tend to draw out every subject until the essay is long enough.
Although we look up to teachers for inspiration, we must realize some are prejudice and bias when marking students written essays. To help with this problem, most teachers now use numbers instead of names to identify essays so they do not know whose essay they are marking. Teacher fatigue whilst marking an essay may cause variations in their standard, especially if all essays are on the same topic. It is also hard to mark essays as it is an opinion of a student and there is no right or wrong answers. The mark may depend on what teachers' opinion of the essay rather than whether the student has correctly done the assignment. The marker needs to be sure that the student can give evidence for every point that has been made.
Another factor which may make this system unfair is Gardiner's multiple intelligence theory. His theory identifies that we use at least seven different ways to learn, out on the marks needed because they could not write an essay that met the criteria. This is not giving the students the opportunities to show their true potential. From this point of view, the system is not fair or reliable to everyone.
Other ways that we can assess student are portfolios which show skills of creativity, aesthetics, theory and problem solving. There is also performance/presentation which involves theoretical issues, reflection and self evaluation. Oral presentation is where physical presence, vocal skills, attitude, timing, audience engagement and use of visual aids may be assessed by the teacher. There is also group work, where you can assess teamwork skills, group facilitation and negotiating skills. Discussions, debates and role plays encourage shared understanding of a topic and sophisticated application of communication skills. These are only a few of the ways that students may be assessed. Morgan states when choosing assessments methods it is important to offer variety to learners in the way they demonstrate their learning. If these methods were used as often as essay writing, more students will then be able to show their skills to the best of their abilities.
The issues of whether essay writing is not a reliable form of assessment are best answered by the individual or teacher. It is a reliable way to assess people who possess the skill of linguistic intelligence and would be unfair to these students, not to use essays as a form of assessment. Because it only represents a minority of people, we need to use other methods such as oral presentations or role playing along with essay writing, so people who do not possess superior writing skills, have an equal chance of higher assessments marks.
The issue as to whether essay writing is too difficult to learn and write is also dependent on the individual. Providing every teacher and institution makes the criteria and personal standards clear, there is then no evidence to suggest that essays are not a fair way to assess students.
Essays are commonly used in the education system so we have to be sure it is a fair system to all students. We are going to be looking at what may make it fair or unfair. If the system is not fair, then it cannot be a reliable form of assessment. We will research topics such as the wide variety of teachers and institutions whose standards may differ from others. We will also research multiple intelligence and other methods that may be used to assess students.

How To Perfect Your Law School Essay

How To Perfect Your Law School Essay
by Peter G. King

A dear friend of mine decided to go to law school at fifty years of age. This is something that she had always wanted to do but did not have the time or finances for until she was fifty. The first year of school she worked full time as a social worker in the same agency with me along with taking three classes. I could not believe that she was able to complete the tasks that she needed to do for our high stress jobs in addition to studying and reading for her classes. She did say that the one thing she was not prepared for was the law school essay. She has always had an easy time taking test, but the law school essay is a completely new concept for her.
Two of the first classes she was taking had only one grade for the class and that was the score that you received on the written exam at the end of the semester. The reason they have some up with the law school essay is to have the students practice placing what they are learning into their own words. The thought is that writing the essays will help the student when they need to write briefs for court hearings. It also helps them learn to defend their stance on a certain point of law. For the timed tests the student is allowed to bring a lap top computer to the class; however it does need to be thoroughly examined to insure that the person is not cheating. I was surprised when my friend told me that the majority of the students hand write their law school essay rather than use a computer. She does this the majority of the time because her husband uses the lap top computer for work and so he does not want to risk losing information when the school checks the computer prior to the tests.
The students also have to wait for a long period of time to get the scores from the tests because each law school essay has to be read by the professor teaching the course. This must be a tedious job for the professors when they have to deal with several different students with various kinds of hand writing. They use this same procedure for the bar exam that each student needs to pass prior to becoming a practicing attorney. The bar exam is given over a two day period and includes one day of multiple choice questions and one day of more law school essay questions. Both portions of the exam are timed.
The essay portion includes five areas of the law. My friend had a difficult time the first time she took the bar exam because one of the questions was on tax law, which she does not have a great deal of interest in. This one essay kept her from passing the bar. She then had to study and wait for six months before taking the test again. She was able to pass the exam the second time she took it and is now a practicing attorney.

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays publishes some of its definition essays

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays publishes some of its definition essays by Andrew Sandon
Custom essay writing service ProfEssays intends to post a number of sample definition essays on its site. A definition essay is a type of essays designed to explain the meaning of the term. Some terms have definite, concrete meanings, such as knife, book, or tree. Terms such as honesty, honor, or hatred are abstract and depend more on a person's point of view. In general there are 3 steps of definition: define the term precisely to the readers, present clarity in your information, and resort to facts, examples or story that the readers can relate and understand. When composing a definition essay the analysis goes deeper than a simple dictionary definition, it should attempt to give reasons why the term is defined as such. It could define the term directly, giving no information other than the explanation of the term. Alternatively, it could imply the definition of the term, telling a story that requires the reader to infer the meaning. In order to define something it is possible to use the following methods: describe it, tell stories about it, compare or contrast it to other things, exemplify it, classify it and identify its unique properties, describe causes and effects of the item being defined, explain its process of functioning. In a formal definition essay, the thesis usually requires the formal definition. The significance, importance, relevance, or value of discussing this term is usually provided in the introduction. In an informal definition essay, the thesis focuses on the significance, relevance, importance, or value of the thing chosen for definition. Most of the definition essays that are due to appear on the site of ProfEssays are custom essays which have been written by the writers of this custom essay writing service. It should be noticed that all of are examples of informal definitions. Writing definition essays may be connected with focusing on words, which are obscure, unknown. In this case the definition given is usually formal. Necessary to a field of study - usually formal definitions are provided. Misunderstood - these essays often dwell on the value of a correct understanding or the history of how the word became misunderstood Abstract - often informal definitions that are given of abstract words like love or beauty with the purpose of making these abstractions more explicit and palpable. Often these definitions are highly personal. Commonplace - sometimes definition essays will focus on commonplace words for the purpose of making readers to appreciate the word in a new fashion or to revitalize the word. The view of custom essay writing service ProfEssays on classification essays

The view of custom essay writing service ProfEssays on classification essays
by Jason Mardock

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays continues to expand the content of its site. Now it plans to post recommendations on writing classification essays and exemplify them with a number of fresh sample essays. It is an unusual kind of essays and therefore these essays frequently pose a difficulty for many students. In a classification essay, a writer is required to organize or sort things into categories. The classification essay devides supporting details into three or more groups with each group containing its own identifying characteristics. For this reason, classification essays are based on description and example as supporting details, description providing the means for identifying characteristic features and examples illustrating the members of each class. There are three elements to a classification essay: the set of things being classified, the scheme or principle of selection for classifying the set, and the classes into which the set is divided. Set: Any set, which is to be classified, must be united by a common characteristic or be able to be distinguished from things outside the set. Biology classifies living organisms (non-living materials are not included in the set). Students, hobbies, vacation spots, or other generic nouns can serve as a set to be classified. Scheme: A scheme is the quality, type, standard, or function by which the elements of the set are sorted into classes, that is, the principle of selection for forming the groups. Biologists classify living organisms analyzing life processes and qualities. In order for a classification scheme to be effective, it must be a important, significant, relevant, or valuable way to understand the set of things under consideration. Classes: In general, when writing about each class, start with an explanation of the descriptor, the characteristic which identifies the members of one class and differ the members of that class from the members of another class. Then add representative examples of the class. Often, a discussion of the class also includes an evaluation of the significance of this class or a comparison or contrast of this class to other classes within the scheme. Biologists frequently refer to the ways in which specimen of a class are differentiated from members of other classes. For these reasons, modes, which are employed as methods within classification often, include description, definition, narration, definition, example, and comparison or contrast. Custom essay writing service ProfEssays has been paying particular attention to classification essays. Top Ten Tips for Achieving Success at University

Top Ten Tips for Achieving Success at University
by Jim Smith

These are the top ten essential strategies you need to achieve your full potential at university.
1. You're not alone.Every student can improve whatever his or her current academic performance. Visit the Study Skills Center at your university and ask what services they offer. Use the resources that are available to you.
2. A place to think.Success at uniersity requires work. The right environment for study is important. You can study in a library, in specific study rooms or in an empty seminar/class room.
3. Break the task down into manageable chunks.Attempting to remember large amounts of knowledge in one night is an ineffective method of achieving your full potential at university. Time spent studying each day is by far the most effective method. This enables your mind to fully absorb the knowledge you need to do your best.
4. Organize for success.When we study at university we need to be able to fit pieces of information together to form an overall "bigger picture". Organize your notes with headings and categories. Look for patterns and see where different concepts link together.
5. Plan ahead and write it down.Be sure to have a planner or diary so you can plan time for reading, writing essays and revision.
6. Work, rest and play.Being tired and stressed will impact on your academic performance. Eat properly, do exercise that you enjoy and get enough sleep.
7. Be present!It may seem obvious but make sure you attend your classes. Taking your own lecture notes is infinitely more effective than reading the work of another student.
8. Lock key information in your mind.It's much easier to store and retrieve crucial knowledge by actively using creative and interesting learning strategies. Pinpoint keywords, describe specific examples, construct mnemonics, write brief and succinct notes, use a highlighter in your textbooks (not in library books though)! Make your learning an interesting and creative experience.
9. Practice makes perfect.If you don't practice recalling relevant knowledge it's easy to simply forget what you've learnt. Practice retrieving information from your memory, without referring to texts or your notes. Practice doing this with mock exam questions.
10. Technique.Exam technique can sometimes mean the difference between a pass and fail. Find out how the different elements that make up your course will be assessed well in advance. Will there be essay-based exams or multiple choice? When you are in the exam room read the instructions carefully, divide your time according to the weight each of your answers contributes to the overall exam mark. Answer the questions you find easiest first.
As you can see using the simple strategies above can make your time at university not only more successful but also less stressful.

The College Application Essay

The College Application Essay
by Jeannie Borin, M.Ed.

I'm looking at the other side of college essays - not the side the admission officers see, but the side the students write, what they write and how they say it. So often we see guidelines on how to write the college essay. Directions like put it in the first person, make it creative, start with a grabber, finish strong, talk about you , you and more about you and do this all in anywhere from 100 to 500 words. Consultants, counselors and English teachers are the ones who read them in their infancy, the rough stage, just when the thoughts are brewing. What I have seen and read is more authentic than the finished version on the applications. For the most part these are 17 year olds who have been taught in school how to write in the 3rd person, about the other thing and rarely about themselves. So, first there is the need to overcome that teenage insecurity, be humble, yet boast, sound confident and do all that in respectable English. I overlook the slang and instant messaging language so prevalent and work with students on extracting what I find so appealing about them. They all have it - that appealing thing. For some it is simply the way their closet looks and for others it is their personal experience of sitting together at a family meal. The good news is that these students are willing to open up with someone like me knowing that I do not evaluate, judge, grade or accept or deny them. It is an honorable and trusted relationship. I suppose what I see is what many admission officers would like to - the rough cut so to speak. Unquestionably, once student essays have been revised, edited and polished several times, they take on a new more formal look. Colleges are attempting to get the right look at students. University of Michigan for example is attempting to have students think "outside the box" by posing ethical dilemma questions like, "Describe a setback or ethical dilemma that you have faced. How did you resolve it? How did the outcome affect you? If something similar happened in the future, how would you react?" Tufts is taking a more scientific approach to student essays and applications by hiring their dean, a psychologist to work on evaluations, "The first question might not sound so different than those on a typical application essay, but this year's questions will be designed and evaluated based on psychological research. Tufts officials hope to better identify future leaders and predict college grades." So, even before the final essays get submitted, I am thoroughly impressed by the rough drafts - their subject matter, written quality, determination and yes immaturity of the students writing. I'm grateful I see that first draft. It is authentic, the truth and apparently what the universities want.

College Essays Editing: Must-Do Check-Out Before Turning Your Paper

College Essays Editing: Must-Do Check-Out Before Turning Your Paper
by Linda Correli

Essay writing is not over until your college essay is carefully edited and checked for mistakes. It is your last chance to go through a paper with a fine-tooth comb and eliminate the drawbacks, defects, and shortcomings you let slip in the writing process. Only when your college essay is carefully and accurately edited, you may be sure it is all shipshape, impeccable and ready to turn in.
However, editing is not an easy task to accomplish. To edit your essay successfully, you must be aware of several issues that are especially troublesome in essay writing. Below you will find a list of points you need to revise when editing your college essays. Following these steps will allow you to make an accurate review of your paper and ensure it meets the demands of your instructor.
So, to edit your college essays professionally, you must make sure that:
1. you have followed your instructor's guidelines concerning the essay length, format and referencing;
2. there is a lead-in sentence to the title of your essay, which is up-to-the-point and eye-catching at a time;
3. the introduction of your essay is attention-grabbing, amusing, and thrilling. What is more, it must set up an issue and lead in to the thesis of your essay;
4. your essay has a thesis statement, namely a clear assertion you will write your entire essay around. The thesis statement must be placed within the first paragraph of your essay and fit in a single sentence;
5. each paragraph of the essay covers only one idea that supports your thesis statement;
6. body paragraphs are written in the exact order of the thesis statement. Otherwise, your essay will appear to be tangled and odd;
7. paragraphs have topic sentences placed at the beginning, supporting evidence in the middle, and your interpretation of the evidence at the end of the paragraph;
8. at least one quotation is included in a body paragraph. Be sure that the concept of the quotation is explained before it is presented to the readers;
9. there are no one-sentence paragraphs in your essay. It is a taboo for college essays;
10. conclusion of your essay is as interesting and memorable as the introduction. You should gracefully exit your essay with a wrap-up sentence and impress the readers with a profound thought, or a quotation;
11. your essay is coherent. The essay ideas must be interconnected in the paragraphs by means of smooth word links and transitions;
12. sentence structures are clear, you do not appear to be too wordy and eloquent;
13. you have defined important terms and concepts that are unknown to the public at large and need to be explained. Remember to be consistent in their use;
14. you have demonstrated your own understanding of your college essay topic;
15. you did not refer to yourself in your essay, unless it is allowed by your instructor;
16. there is evidence of wide reading and research;
17. there is no irrelevant material, obvious padding, or redundant language;
18. your essay is formatted according to the correct guidelines for citation and your bibliography list is completed according to the corresponding guidelines;
19. there are no grammar and punctuation mistakes. Make sure the words are in their initial meaning and not misspelled.
In other words, you have to make sure your your college essay is exemplary in all respects: essay structure, grammar, approach to writing college essays, smooth language, etc. This might seem to be a pretty big piece of work to be done. But do not fall into temptation to skip it, for without editing your college essays are doomed to fail.

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays gives useful tips to raise essay writing standards

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays gives useful tips to raise essay writing standards
by Andrew Sandon

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays continues to advise on essay writing. The relative information appears on its site. At present ProfEssays is about to add a new page titled "Useful tips to improve one's essay writing". In general these tips draw attention to the fact that it is desirable to start working over one's assignment as soon as one receives it. Everybody should start by reading the text of assignment carefully. While doing so it is necessary to analyse the language of the assignment and its keywords, try to define the purpose behind the essay. Afterwards one needs to collect and generate ideas which will help to create the stuff of one's essay. There are a number of different methods writers use to accumulate ideas before they begin to write: free-writing, perception games, brainstorming and clustering, discussion groups, heuristics, talking with friends. These activities can help you get ideas on paper and give you some initial guidance, relieving in writing your first draft. If you're composing a research paper, then do your readings. They will help you adopt the right way of thinking about the topic one's subject and what special terms are needed to use. Readings usually provide with the expert opinions which can be incorporated in essays or papers to prove certain arguments. At the beginning of one's essay writing it is vital to muse on a working thesis or a question that is supposed to be answered. It doesn't matter if one's working thesis changes as you write and research. Remember that a thesis statement is not simply a statement of fact but a statement saying something about a fact. Before writing a draft, one should consider creating an outline indicating what is designed to be proved in the paper. Make sure you can explain in the outline how each point you want to make connects to your thesis. The outline as well as the working thesis can be changed in the process of writing. If a point doesn't seem to fit, reconsider the point and reconsider your thesis. It may be possible or even necessary to either change the point or change the thesis. Getting down to writing one isn't obliged to start from the very beginning. Start with the section that is clearest in your mind. Then it will be possible to go back and fill in the gaps. It is necessary think about the connections between arguments once there is something on paper. One should write one's first draft without bothering too much about grammar, punctuation, and style. These things are important, but shouldn't be allowed to distract you from writing your ideas down on paper. Don't try to write the perfect introduction, either. Lots of writers write their introduction at the end of the writing process. Make sure your argument reaches a conclusion. In the conclusion, it is necessary to point out what the highlights of the essay are and what one can learn from this essay. One must always rewrite your rough copy at least once. There shouldn't be more than one main idea in each paragraph, and the main ideas of each paragraph should follow on each other logically and be in compliance with your thesis. Keep your audience in mind while rewriting. If you're citing sources, check your documentation style. Bear in mind what documentation style your professor expects. Three main styles are used in the Humanities and Social Sciences: APA, MLA, and Turabian (Chicago). Always revise your work before submitting it. Delete anything in the essay that is not compatible with the main argument. It is crucial to pay attention to transition. Make sure that your introduction and conclusions more than summaries. Naturally one should correct every single grammatical error. Finally, before you turn your essay in, when your argument and ideas are clear, read your essay aloud, listening to what you've written. Afterwards one should correct difficult or awkward phrases, and mistakes in grammar and punctuation. College Entrance Essay

College Entrance Essay
by John Pawlett

College sounds great, right? Now think about this statement before you answer it with certainty. What is it that college can offer you?
Well, let's see. First of all, your chances of acquiring a job increase by about 90 percent. This is phenomenal. Second of all, many more employers will take you seriously if you have a college education. They are looking for folks who are willing to go that extra mile. Having a college degree really expresses that you're willing to work in life.
Also, a college education will better help prepare you for the real world and the difficult tasks that lie ahead. You need to acquire good skills if you plan to get a good job. Finally, college can be a wonderful experience. I know I enjoyed it.
Now, what do you need to get into that University of choice? Well, you just may need decent college entrance essays. Have you written one yet?
I can remember when I graduated from high school. My girlfriend at the time was so stoked about going to college. Of course she didn't want just any old college. She wanted to attend Duke University in North Carolina.
This is where we lived at the time. However, if you aren't already aware, Duke is a private school. Ahh, yeah, the joy of trying to get into a private University. It was high time for some well-written college entrance essays. She needed to craft a perfect paper in order to impress those University big wigs who decide whether or not to let you in.
It was time for some research and skill honing. At first I found it funny when she decided to construct two practice college entrance essays, before actually writing the real one. This was going to be a long and drawn out process. She completed one of the college entrance essays within a week's time.
That's not too bad I guess. Soon enough she was showing me the real one. I read it a few times and offered some advice. She made a few adjustments and then submitted it with an application. Before we knew it, she was attending Duke University.
You can get help with college entrance essays on you home computer. No one ever said you had to go it alone. Hop online and get all the advice and pointers you need. One thing I must remind you of regarding all written works is to never turn it in with spelling errors. This is often fatal!

Tips For Selecting The Right Editing Service

Tips For Selecting The Right Editing Service
by Trevor Marshall

Everyone needs to have his work edited even once in his life. An editing company can polish the work of a beginner, improve the writing of a mediocre or average writer and proofread the work of an expert with an unbiased eye.
Theres nothing shameful about having an editing company look over your college entrance essay or manuscript since its almost impossible to be completely objective when revising ones work; what is shameful is when youve gone all the trouble to hire one but still ending up with an unprofessional paper.
If youve decided to hire editing services for your work, use our checklist below to do it right the first time around:
Amount of Writing Experience
All professional editors were writers once. You need to know the writing background of the editor to determine his capabilities in performing the task. To write a business proposal, he must have adequate experience in business writing. Anything less than three years is not just good enough. Lastly, ask if he can furnish references.
Amount of Editing Experience
Besides writing, the editor must also have sufficient experience working as a professional editor. Ask samples of his work its better if he can supply you with a before-and-after example to gauge his editing abilities. Again, ask if he can provide you with references.
Involvement in an Industry
An editor will be able to write and edit better if he was also a businessman once. Having been involved in the industry in a professional basis will provide him with certain information that a mere observer may not be privy with. Having more knowledge on the business will enable the editor to understand the works hes revising more clearly, and consequently be able to edit them with a more discerning eye.
Credentials of the Editor
Ask about the editors educational attainment and other credentials that he has. Credentials are further proof of an editors level of experience in his chosen field. Of course, make sure that you verify whatever credentials he does mention because he might just be lying about everything.
Types of Services Offered
People have various reasons for needing to hire editing services. Make sure that the editing firm you choose to transact with is able to provide the services youre after. Examples of types of services offered by most editing firms are supplied below:
Ghostwriting If you have a story to tell or a paper you need to do but you dont have the right words at your disposal, you can hire a ghostwriter from an editing firm to write everything down for you. With a ghostwriter to help you out, your work will still be solely to your credit. Ghostwriters arent credited with bylines because they are only there to help you pick out the best words for your writing.
Proofreading Maybe all you need is someone to check your work for any typographical or grammatical errors. If so, a proofreader is the best person to help you out. Clients have various needs when it comes to proofreading; some want all errors to be automatically corrected and substituted while others prefer their mistakes to be simply highlighted but leave all the revising to them. If you have specific preferences in this matter, make sure your editing firm knows about it beforehand.
If your work lacks substance or hasnt enough facts to support its claim, an editing firm can help you out by researching extensively about the subject of your paper.
Publishing Guidance Maybe, you dont need any help when it comes to writing. Maybe, all you need is a nudge to the right direction and have your book published. If so, an editing firm is still capable of helping you in this situation. They can help you create an outline and proposal for your book, find a literary agent to represent your work or give you suggestions about that publishing firms to choose.
How Long and How Much
Alas, we come to the two most important bases of our decision: how long will revisions take and how much in total will it cost? Its okay to go a bit over the budget if your reasons are valid but just make sure that they are, indeed, valid. Expect to pay extra if you have a rush deadline to meet.
Lastly, if you expect to have various needs for editing services, its better to choose one thats able to provide for ALL of the services youre after. Hiring a different company for each editing service you need is not only tiring but more costly as well in the long run.

How to Love Essay Writing

How to Love Essay Writing
by Sandra Aniston

So many students fear essay writing. There is a large pressure associated with essay writing and too often students give up. The key to academic success lies in essay writing. All throughout your education you will need to produce countless essays and research papers. If you want to do well you will need to master the art of essay writing, and learn to love it too. This article will provide some ideas for making essay writing fun. Using these tips you can write a well researched A grade paper. Every time!
Raise your hand if you:
- Have always gotten poor grades
- Constantly put off essay writing until the last minute
- Are under extreme academic pressure
- Hate essay writing?All these factors can result in students who do not enjoy essay writing. How can you love something that is always associated with stress and fear?
And the sad part is that most students feel the same way. . .
For most students - essay writing is a chore they suffer through until they learn how to write essays that score well every time. Almost everyone feels the same in the earlier part of their school careers. If you plan to study further then you are going to make peace with essay writing. For many students - university is the time when essay writing becomes easier. Thus there is no choice but to learn to love essay writing.
Essay writing is often referred to as an art - and with good reason. It can take years of practice to perfect the craft. Most often students really become good at writing essays when they reach the end of their school careers!
The good news is that you can make essay writing fun through some simple shifts writing the essays assigned to you.
The key to academic success is to become efficient and to learn to love the process. After all by writing essays you are expanding your mind.
Efficient Essay Writing
With any essay the hardest part is to begin. The act of sitting down and putting pencil to the paper is the biggest hurdle.
Leaving an ample amount of time before an essay deadline is crucial. If you are always time pressed you will not have time to absorb the question, do the research and come to educated conclusions. By adding a little buffer you will be able to think, research and write up a beautiful essay with minimal fuss.
By removing some of the stress associated with your essay writing you can help create a good feeling about essays.
The essay writing process
Begin by breaking each part of the process up into steps. By breaking down what needs to be done you make the overall task easier. Tackle each part of the process - one at a time and you can make the task less daunting.
This also leaves more possibility for fun!
1. Thinking/absorbing/processing the question:
This is the most important part of the essay writing process. Once you have properly understood what the essay question is asking you - you can analyze what kinds of supporting research you will need. There is no need to formulate your entire argument yet - save that for later in the essay writing process. For now you need to understand exactly what the question is asking you. Highlight key terms and brainstorm some possible angles.
2. Research:
Thanks to the Internet - research has become much easier and more fun that it was in past generations. Without this super research tool we would all have to spend a great deal of time in the library searching for information.
But this doesn't mean that libraries are obsolete. You can still find better information in a library (although soon there will be vast libraries in the Internet too!). If you are even slightly interested in the topic - simply typing the keywords in your assignment and googling them can provide a wealth of information and viewpoints. Be careful to keep the two separate. Whatever resources you use you must be sure to take good notes for referencing. Include the year, page number and any other information you can. This will make the process of writing much easier for you later. When writing university level essays you will have to reference each point you make so you will do yourself a huge favor by getting into the habit early.
3. Mapping out your argument:
With all that great research under your belt you can be sure that the next step will be easier. Take good notes and fit all your points into sections. Mind mapping is a great tool for organizing information in an efficient and fun way.
4. Writing it all up:
Undoubtedly the hardest part of the process is crafting the essay. But now that you have prepared thoroughly you will be able to relax and have some fun putting together your essay.
5. Referencing:
Because you took such good notes you are going to sail through the reference pages.
6. Polishing/Editing:
The easiest part, and definitely the most enjoyable. Going through your essay with your own red pen and editing it ruthlessly will ensure that you have a perfect essay to turn in when the deadline comes.
For many students - these kinds of tips can do little to ease the struggle of essay writing. You can also improve your academic performance by buying a custom written essay. Custom writing experts of Exclusive-Essays.com provide custom research papers for students who are struggling academically. Let a professional write your essay for you - and use it to learn about how to answer essay questions.

Custom essay writing service Professays focuses on scholarship essays

Custom essay writing service Professays focuses on scholarship essays.
by Roger Green

Nowadays many young people whose parents can't afford to pay tuition view scholarships as the only opportunity to receive higher education. Actually two factors are vital in the process of obtaining a scholarship. The first of them is naturally the academic achievements of an applicant. The second factor that often becomes crucial consists in writing a scholarship essay. Such an essay may either convince the scholarship committee to grant you the scholarship or destroy all your hopes, close this single door leading to your possible bright future. Scholarship essays vary greatly in subject, matter or theme. However, most of them require describing personal experience. For a scholarship essay one is free to choose the subject oneself. It is recommended to devote a few weeks simply brainstorming different ideas, since an interesting, original subject creates a good prerequisite which will positively effect the decision of the scholarship committee. While thinking over the subject and the stuff of your essay it is necessary to muse on the following things. Try to recollect your major accomplishments, give persuasive reasons for considering them accomplishments? Your achievements shouldn't be restricted to the ones which have been formally recognized by others. Do not limit yourself to accomplishments you have been formally recognized as the most interesting essays often are based on accomplishments that may have been commonplace but become crucial when placed in the context of your life. Such an approach is especially expedient if the scholarship committee receives a list of your credentials anyway. It is desirable to ponder over your personal qualities. Does any attribute, quality, or skill distinguish you from everyone else? How did you develop it? Recall your favourite books, movies, works of art, etc. Have they influenced your life in a meaningful way? One of the efficient ways to expose your personal qualities and strong sides is to describe the most difficult time in your life. Mention how you managed to live it through and what changes it caused in your perspective on life. Personal experience of intense striving for something is always welcomed. It doesn't matter whether you succeeded or failed. Another good idea is to reflect on the things you are anxious to do in future, focus on your future profession, ambitions and the reasons why you chose it. How does this particular scholarship fit into your plans for the future? What have you done outside of the classroom that unveils qualities sought after by universities? Which of them is the most important? A scholarship essay may deal with your past as well. Write about your important extracurricular or community activities. Explain what made you join these activities and whether you continue to contribute to them. Of course the above mentioned variants of subjects for a scholarship essay are from being full. Writing any scholarship essay requires creative approaches, good writing skills and perfect grammar. Add to that all the psychological pressure which a person experience during this important time for one's future.
